Energy Assistance Available
The Northwest Tenn. Economic Development Agency will accept applications for the 2017/2018 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program on July 1, 2017. This program helps low income households through direct energy payments to their energy provider.
Households with total annual income below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines may be assisted. Proof of gross household income is required to determine eligibility. Applicants must also submit Social Security number verification for all household members and a current utility company printout showing the last 12 months of usage at their current location.
Individuals interested in applying for the LIHEAP Program should make an appointment at the Northwest Tenn. Economic Development Agency office in their county of residence.
